Explanation of Sponsorship
The National Specialty is our club’s premiere annual event. In order to have a successful event, the National
requires three very important things:
Our Flat-Coated Retrievers;
People, as volunteers and as attendees;
And Money. Lots and lots of money. Over $100,000 each year.
This year we are beginning a new tradition, one of recognizing those members who have reached deep and
given generously to become a Specialty Sponsor through monetary donation. There are four sponsorship
levels and three ways to donate. You can donate toward Awards, the Event Fund, the General Fund or
any combination thereof (merchandise is not included).
Sponsors will be recognized by listing on this webpage, highlighted on the Sponsor Board on display at the
National, listed in the catalog (providing funds are received prior to 05/01/25), and each sponsors’ Welcome
Badge/Name Tag will proudly proclaim their sponsorship status. The specialty committee will also be hosting
a thank you lunch for our sponsors (day and time TBD).

The levels of sponsorship for 2025 are as follows:
Turquoise - $100 - $499 – in addition to the above, Turquoise Sponsors will receive five (5) free tickets
for an onsite raffle,
Garnet - $500 - $999 – Garnet Sponsors will receive all the perks of Turquoise Sponors, plus
a 20 oz logo branded slim line travel cup
Emerald - $1,000 - $2,499 – Emerald Sponsors will receive all the perks of Garnet Sponsors plus a set
of two etched glasses featuring a Flat-coat image
Sapphire - $2,500 – Sapphire Sponsors will receive all of the perks of an Emerald Sponsor plus two
free tickets to the Awards Dinner.
Your donations will be aggregated, so feel free to donate funds to any of the three categories. Your total
donation amount will determine your level (Examples: $75 to Awards plus $25 to the General Fund for a total
donation of $100 would equal Turquoise level; or $350 to the Event Fund, $125 to Awards and $25 to the
General Fund for a total of $500 would equal Garnet level).
Where your dollars will go: The Awards category is for sponsoring our lovely specialty ribbons. The General
Fund is for funds to be used as needed to offset costs like the venue expense, judge’s expenses, equipment
rental costs, etc. Both of these donations types can be made by using the links on this website.
The Event Fund is for funds that you would like to see designated for a specific event or use. For example, the
2025 Specialty has already received generous donations to cover the cost of the Welcome Party and another
to cover the Ring of Honor. If you wish to have your funds earmarked for a special purpose, for example: the
Junior dinner party; decorations for the photographer’s stand; to offset the expenses for the educational event;
